Central African Nation Erupts in Violence

[RockinRightSide News Service – 3/20/23] Civil war has broken out in the once-prosperous central African nation of the Ugandi States. Brutal violence in the streets has replaced the domestic tranquility and personal freedoms that made the nation a “shining beacon on a hill,” admired by all the world and a prized destination for immigrants fleeing oppression and poverty in their home countries.

The conflict started three years ago when the sitting president of the Ugandi States, Donno Trompo, was re-elected by a large majority of the populace, but the entrenched opposition party, who had maintained de facto control of the government throughout Trompo’s term, used a variety of dishonest and illegal tactics to steal the election. State media suppressed news of the election anomalies and proclaimed challenger JoJo Bidenu as the legitimate president of the Ugandi States.

As the Bidenu administration met to certify the illicit election, Trompo supporters who had gathered at the nation’s capital to protest, were beaten and sprayed with chemicals by state police on the steps of the Ugandi States capitol building. When police ratcheted up the violence, what had been a peaceful protest got out of hand. It was later learned that Bidenu government infiltrators aggressively attempted to instigate a riot and breach of the capitol building to justify their election theft. Despite allegations of protester violence by the Bidenu regime, no state officials were seriously harmed.

Four of the protesters were murdered by the authorities; one was shot in the face, one was bludgeoned to death, and two died after being struck with flash bang grenades. The Bidenu regime denied these atrocities, but the events were recorded on incriminating video. Hundreds more protesters were arrested and imprisoned on unfounded and unproven charges. Many of these prisoners were kept in inhumane, filthy jail cells for months and years without access to health care, families, attorneys, or court dates. Most Ugandi States citizens were unaware of the plight of these political prisoners as the Bidenu administration and state media hid their existence from public view.

All pretense of fairness and justice was abandoned in the Ugandi States court system as judges installed by the Bidenu regime refused to hear evidence or provide any form of due process. All of those charged with crimes were presumed guilty. The Ugandi States once-revered constitution was nullified, replaced by a spoils system that rewarded supporters of the Bidenu regime and punished Trompo loyalists.

Civil unrest grew as financial conditions in the Ugandi States deteriorated under the Bidenu regime. Citizens bristled at the government’s corrupt confiscation of wealth and distribution to connected cronies. Government overspending and manipulation of currency, interest rates and financial markets led to rampant inflation which fueled poverty and homelessness. Most banks were forced out of business leaving desperate depositors pondering how to recover their life savings.

Thousands of Ugandi States citizens died after a man-made weaponized virus escaped from a Bidenu-funded laboratory. Using the ensuing pandemic as cover, the regime imposed lockdowns which destroyed businesses and schools, and caused chronic depression. Then the government mandated forced vaccinations that turned out to be deadly rather than therapeutic.

Reports surfaced of Bidenu and his family members taking bribes from foreign governments and companies in exchange for favorable treatment and payments from the national treasury. Ugandi States taxpayers were enraged.

The tinderbox of public sentiment in the Ugandi States was already volatile when the corrupt courts of the Bidenu regime arrested former president Trompo on specious charges. It was the final straw in a long series of provocations that citizens could no longer tolerate.

The capital city of the Ugandi States is now under siege as military and other security officials contemplate which side of the conflict to join. Police departments that were defunded and abandoned by the Bidenu regime are unable to restore order as government loyalists loot and burn cities.

Meanwhile, adversary nations are weighing their military options with the resource-rich Ugandi States government in utter disarray.

Prayers are in order for this nation teetering on destruction. More news will be forthcoming as events develop.

Trump Won and You Know It – Natasha Owens

Time to “Move On” From Election Theft Talk? Oh, HELL NO!

Too many Republicans have said it’s time to move on from outrage about the theft of the presidential election in November of 2020. The pushback started almost immediately after the election and accelerated after thousands of concerned citizens gathered in Washington, DC on January 6, 2021 to peacefully protest what were, at best, very suspicious and unprecedented circumstances and events surrounding the defeat of President Trump by a weak contender who did not even campaign.

The news media and social media, who no longer have any interest in investigative reporting and truth-telling, suppressed all attempts to prove the theft, calling every accusation “debunked” without even looking at any evidence presented. The DOJ and FBI, who in the past were quick to investigate allegations of official wrongdoing, (i.e. Watergate, Iran-Contra, etc.) were not only derelict, they were complicit in the coverup.

A year and a half later, enter conservative documentary film-maker Dinesh D’Souza, in association with the long-time leader in election security, True the Vote. Their movie, 2000 Mules, shows how cell-phone GPS records and security videos prove beyond any doubt that the Democrats hired thousands of “mules” to stuff ballot boxes with millions of illegal and trafficked votes in order to strategically throw an election they knew they had no chance of winning. It also proves that the volume of illegal activity was way more than enough to hand Trump’s electoral win to Biden. If you have not seen this movie, you must. Follow the link to find out how to obtain it.

A “mule” stuffs illegal ballots in a drop box, then removes her rubber gloves and throws them in the garbage can to avoid leaving fingerprints. Some of these criminals visited dozens of drop boxes per night over long advance voting periods, also making repeated trips to Democrat NGO offices for payment and to pick up more ballots. Many were seen taking selfies of themselves dropping the ballots, a requirement for payment.
Clip from “2000 Mules”.

Only weeks later, frantic Democrat leaders, with a couple of “never-Trump” Republican stooges propped in front of the cameras, staged a televised kangaroo court hearing to try to convince America that the January 6 protest was a coup attempt by outgoing President Trump. Other RINOs are nodding their approval.

Asa Hutchinson, lame duck governor of Arkansas, has admitted he wants to run for president. He called the Jan. 6 protest “a costly error” and chided conservatives (including most Republican voters) for continuing to press the issue.

I know, you know, and everybody knows the election was stolen. I don’t need to repeat the proof here. Those who hate and fear President Trump (he is still our elected president) will just say “debunked, debunked, debunked” no matter how irrefutable the evidence is.

What we can’t allow to happen is for this crime of the century – hell, biggest crime in history! – to stand. If the ruthless, criminal forces who pulled this off get away with it and there are no consequences, who on earth thinks they won’t do it again, and again, and steal every election until there are no more elections in the USA?

So no, I will NOT stop complaining about the election theft. And I will not vote for any candidate at any level who even hints at a willingness to tolerate it. My hair will remain on fire until Democrats and their operatives are indicted, and the stench is worst at the top of the dung heap we call our government.

We have to understand just how quickly our republic can be taken from us. The extent to which our law enforcement, military, education, news and social media, medical system, border security, foreign policy, banking and other institutions are already damaged is dire beyond the comprehension of most Americans. Many innocent citizens who protested on Jan. 6 are still political prisoners in DC, held in inhumane conditions without haircuts, medical care, legal representation or due process. My God, what has happened to us?

Frankly, if there isn’t accountability for the election theft and other crimes, and a will to prevent it from ever happening again, it’s lights out for America as we know it.

The Digital Dollar – Follow the Money

It was only a matter of time.

The late, great Rush Limbaugh taught us that whenever there is something really strange going on, especially with our government, just seal out the distractions and follow the money.

I became alarmed a month ago when our Federal Reserve Bank announced that they have developed technology that would enable them to convert our currency to a “digital dollar”. Cash and private banking could soon be a thing of the past.

My observations:

  • The big banks have been cozying up to the Feds for a long time now, squeezing out smaller and local banks. Only the biggest banks can afford to comply with the onerous federal regulations. Following the money, I’m guessing there is a piece of the government pie already cut for them in this digital dollar objective. The banks clearly have no problem sharing our privacy and our funds with the feds, who are now pushing to restrict unreported cash withdrawals to $600 or less.
  • The loss of small banks who can make loans and meet local transactional needs is crushing small business in our country. This dovetails with the woke left’s desire to hollow out the middle class. Follow the money.
  • Once our funds are under the control of the federal government, how long will it be before they establish “equity scores” with which to value our accounts? (Hmm, working white guy, your dollar is worth 35 cents. Unemployed minority migrant, your dollar is worth $2.75, automatically deposited to your account by the government.)
  • The next step would be controlling our behavior by withdrawing or withholding digital dollars from our accounts based on “social score” or inappropriate activity. This is happening already in China and Canada. (You went to a Trump rally? You contributed to the trucker protest? You posted “Let’s Go Brandon” on your Facebook page? Sorry, your funds are frozen! Your company sells pillows and contributes to voter integrity projects? Sorry, you can’t have bank accounts!)
  • With the national debt at $33 trillion and interest rates rising, we are about to become Argentina if taxes aren’t increased. But you won’t have to worry about writing a check to the IRS – they will just lift it from your digital dollar account.

I wonder if commercial banking is going to be completely eliminated and/or merged into the Fed. Banks continue to shed jobs. Try calling your bank on the phone: “Your call is very important to us, your wait time is approximately 42 minutes . . .” And now the woke big banks are firing half of their employees because they refuse to get vaccinated with a chemical that has been proven to not work again the China virus, and (according to the CDC) has killed as many as 200,000. Following the money, maybe the big banks are working toward a merger with the Federal Reserve?

The USA became the economic engine of the world based on freedom, including the right to earn, keep, and spend our own money. But we, and the rest of the world, are now facing the “Great Reset”, which is predicated on sharing the wealth based on skin color and equity. (Follow that link to the World Economic Forum if you really want to get scared.) India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE are lined up to go digital as well. The EU is looking at perhaps next year.

So how can we protect our assets? Gold? Cryptocurrency? Real estate? Any of these can be confiscated or controlled by over-reaching federal government. Prayer might be the only answer.

I’m afraid it will take a huge and sudden resistance (hopefully non-violent) by the masses to this aggressive radical transformation of our nation and world. The masses will have to be made aware and educated first, and there is precious little time left. The woke leftists must be defeated at every level at every opportunity, no matter how seemingly insignificant.

When you follow the money, nothing is insignificant.

The “China-fication” of America

(Color China Photo via AP, File)

Two months into the Democrat takeover of our nation, I am plenty worried. Not about myself and my wife. Not about our children. Our grandchildren? You bet.

As I recover from the shock of a stolen election followed by the unraveling of all the progress made over the last four years, my worldview has begun to clarify. I think I am finally beginning to understand what’s going on.

My son asked me today, “Do you really think we will never again have a fair election?” After some thought, I had to admit that the likelihood of a real election in our near future is pretty remote.

Look at it this way – the Democrats now have control of the three branches of federal government, the news media, the education system, the military, the judiciary including the Supreme Court, the FBI/DOJ/CIA/State Dept., the entire federal bureaucracy, most of corporate America, the internet, social media, pop culture, entertainment and sports. Their control is so complete that they are able to steal an election in front of God and everybody, get away with it and laugh about it, with virtually no opposition. They can presumably do that again, repeatedly. How in the hell could we traditional Christian conservative Americans expect to ever gain back even a tiny portion of control over our government or our destiny without a deadly civil war?

It appears that the United States (and perhaps the civilized world) has come to accept the Chinese model of government, culture, and morality as the new paradigm of success. After all, the communist leaders of China have maneuvered their huge nation from abject poverty and utter failure to world champion status in just a few decades. Yes, their model richly rewards the ruling elites while “genociding” or “disappearing” unwanted citizens. Yes, their air is unbreathable, their genome-bending diseases are unstoppable, and any disagreement with the CCP is brutally, even militarily, extinguished. But the billions of people in the great Chinese middle class have been elevated to a sustainable, somewhat comfortable standard of living. That is, as long as they do as they are told, maintain an acceptable social score under constant surveillance, and accept mediocrity for their entire lives.

We apparently want the same one-party control system that China has. No need for citizens to make decisions of any kind. No need for freedom of expression, religion, or truth. The government knows best, just shut up and live.

There’s only one problem here. China was able to build their system by using and abusing American knowledge, creativity and money. If America wants to emulate China, who will we look to as our “cash cow” to finance our growth and progress? Guatamala? Mexico? Using the wealth they pilfered from us, China has already taken over most of the third-world at breakneck pace.

With Democrats now controlling every aspect of American civilization, and promising (already delivering) the China model to our nation, those of us over age 40 who give a damn about our grandchildren don’t seem to have a lot of options.

But there is one last hope. And it is that individual states will re-affirm their sovereignty, rights and freedoms under the Constitution of our forefathers. If there is no room for the “Make America Great Again” spirit in our nation, I pray to God that there is room for it in our states. If we have hope to restore the USA to greatness, that hope lies in the flyover states, not the metropolitan coastal areas that are willing and happy to sell their pitiful, fearful souls to the federal government for promise of a crust of bread. May God bless the United STATES of America!

Things Have Changed

I haven’t written a blog post for two months. The stolen election and developments since then are so alarming that I have been unable to get my feet on solid ground – emotionally or intellectually.

The most difficult thing to deal with is that truth is no longer available to us. We have known for many years that we can no longer trust the mainstream news and social media. We now know that we can’t trust any political parties, institutions, or agencies. Only a very few elected and hired federal government officials are not corrupt. Corporations, educators, scientists, medical institutions, social organizations, sports/entertainment are all compromised.

My cynical worldview was once driven by the maxim “follow the money.” If things are not quite as they seem, it’s because behind the scenes are malevolent, unscrupulous people who are driven to personal profit at the expense of others.

That was before Americans (and, frankly, average folks all over the world) lost faith in capitalism and free enterprise. Now we know that governments can print as much money as they need to control events and individuals. At least temporarily. Debt is an obsolete concept in the twenty-first century.

The ultimate currency of exchange now is power. Control.

Oh, money is still part of the program. Those who have big money have control. And vice-versa. If the big reset continues on course, those on the outside will still have value, but will over time will become little more than a food source.

Last Sunday our pastor stridently preached the message in Luke 12: 29-31.

29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

The first Sunday after the “riot” on Capitol Hill our pastor was admonishing us for all the time and money we spend worrying about politics and personal wants. I agree with him that we should not live our lives selfishly. If we are saved we can expect our individual needs to be met, now and forever.

But neither is this a time in history when we should acquiesce. Righteousness includes the duty to confront evil. Psalm 82 instructs us to

Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.  Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

There seems to be only one place left to go for the truth. Things have changed.

Toxic Mask-ulinity

Everybody is wearing a mask these days. Except me.

I am done with masks. I hate them. They steam up my glasses, I feel like I’m choking on stale air, nobody can hear what I’m saying, and they don’t stay where they belong anyway so I’m always poking, pushing, and tugging at my mask.

I don’t even know why everybody is wearing masks when so many medical experts and studies say masks don’t work against coronavirus.

“The main transmission path is long-residence-time aerosol particles
(< 2.5 μm), which are too fine to be blocked, and the minimum-infective dose is smaller than one aerosol particle.”

— Denis G. Rancourt, PhD

The only benefit, according to psychotherapist Amy Morin, is that wearing a mask may be good for mental health because it gives the wearer “the illusion of being in control.” Of course, it’s only an illusion. Because the damned things don’t actually work.

The key word from Morin’s study is control. That’s what mask-wearing is all about. The Center for Disease Control (there’s that word again) reported in May that masks don’t work.

Some government officials (can you say Governor Cooper?) want to control our behavior, throttle our economy, and influence our election. And they have found all it takes is a mask, some totally arbitrary rules with winners and losers, and a little public shaming.

This week a small Ohio woman was assaulted and tasered by a very large policeman for not wearing a mask as she watched her son’s football game. Nobody other than family was anywhere near her, so obviously the arrest was not about safety, it was about control.

The other day I saw a young woman sitting alone on a bus bench with nobody within blocks of her, wearing a mask. It was just sad.

It seems to me that many people wear masks to avoid political incorrectness rather than a dread disease.

I’m done with it. Those who are afraid of a “pandemic” disease that has been over-hyped, misreported, and weaponized by officials for political gain should just relinquish control of their lives to the government and stay home.

Yesterday at the grocery store I walked past the “mask required” sign at the door and grabbed a cart. I glanced around the store to see if any other rebels were going mask-less like me and saw only one. As our carts passed we fist-bumped and exchanged smiles, to the horror of a group of terrified millennial women nearby.

Call it “Toxic Mask-ulinity”.

America Won’t Survive Without Private Property Rights

photo of gutted Minneapolis storefront by Fox 9 TV

“This was going to happen with or without us,” he says. “First thing, we decided we’d be respectful. I told our staff, ‘Let them write on the pavement and on our neighbors’ walls. Let them bring whatever they want to bring and leave it wherever they want to leave it. We’ll figure it out later.'”

“The throng . . . spray-painted and Sharpied . . . every available surface, mostly in English, but also in Spanish and Italian, along with the consonant-rich dialects of Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Arabic characters flowed on downtown L.A.’s sidewalks next to Japanese kanji. [Soon] there was no room left on the streetlights and storefronts.”

You’re thinking about rioting and property destruction in Los Angeles, right? Actually this was a Sports Illustrated report about the public response to Kobe Bryant’s untimely death. It took local property owners around the Staple Center weeks to clean up and repair.

What struck me as I read the report is the disregard so many people now have for private property. Whether mourning the loss of a local sports legend, or expressing anger over the death of a criminal suspect at the hands of overzealous or malevolent police officers, or just enjoying an opportunity for mayhem, these young, urban people do not even consider that the property they are defacing or destroying actually belongs to somebody who worked hard, saved and invested. Maybe somebody who looks just like them. Maybe their moms and dads.

It’s a leading indicator of our country’s slide toward Marxism and Communism, where all property (except that belonging to the elite leaders) belongs to the government so nobody is responsible for damage. The police, at the direction of local government, will not protect private property or allow us to protect it ourselves, and even public monuments and buildings fall prey to angry mobs.

Think of Cabrini-Green, the government housing project in Chicago that in the 1960s became a violent, third-world shit-hole because its residents had no ownership, no “skin in the game”.

If you are an American who has worked, saved, and invested in a home or business, and are relying on your constitutional guarantee of property rights, don’t blink – we are 116 days from an election that could turn the American Dream on its head.

The Day the Congress Died

A long, long time ago I can still remember
How our Congressmen were honest guys.
The candidates all seemed so good,
Whoever got elected would
Try to keep our nation on the rise.
But then Obama got elected,
And crooked people were selected,
To redesign our nation –
Fundamental transformation.
I can’t remember if I cried
When the brave men in Benghazi died
But a smell fell over the countryside
The day the Congress died.

Oh why, why do you Democrats lie?
Just because you hate our president you all voted “aye”.
You insist on impeachment but you can’t explain why,
Oh, this will be the day Congress died.
This will be the day Congress died.

Did you read the constitution?
Is impeachment really a good solution
If elections go awry?
And do you think that it’s just fine
That the FBI got a judge to sign
A fakey FISA warrant so they could spy?

Well, the DNC and Hillary
Hired Fusion GPS to see
If they could build a scandal
That Trump’s guys couldn’t handle
So Fusion bought from Christopher Steele
A dossier that wasn’t real.
Why did the judge believe that deal
The day the Congress died?

Why, why do you Democrats lie?
Just because you hate our president you all voted “aye”.
You insist on impeachment but you can’t explain why,
Oh, this will be the day Congress died.
This will be the day Congress died.

Now for three years they’ve investigated
And all of the Democrat haters hated
Especially on CNN . . .
Then for Schiff and Nadler and Pelosi
Things weren’t looking quite so rosy
When “Russia, Russia, Russia” didn’t win

Then the Mueller report was falling through
And the Ukraine phone call cratered too
They couldn’t find corruption
So they came up with obstruction

And while Biden’s kid was allowed to skate
Strzok and Page went on a date
And Nadler said “this can not wait!”
The day the Congress died.

Why, why do you Democrats lie?
Just because you hate our president you all voted “aye”.
You insist on impeachment but you can’t explain why,
Oh, this will be the day Congress died.
This will be the day Congress died.

With Nancy running out of time
She got her Democrats in line
And set up her impeachment fight.
She knows that she’s in trouble now
No witnesses or defense were allowed
With Trump’s economic numbers out of sight.

And in the streets Trump’s approval grew
There was nothing the Dems could do
The Senate and Mitch McConnell
Said they would support the Donald

The Democrats all hung their heads
As they realized their brand was dead
While Trump just laughed and shook his head
The day the Congress died.

So why, why do you Democrats lie?
Just because you hate our president you all voted “aye”.
You insist on impeachment but you can’t explain why,
Oh, this will be the day Congress died.
This will be the day Congress died.

The Left’s Wacky View of Church vs. State

I try so hard to understand them.  Really I do.

We were discussing the upcoming election — specifically the tight race for North Carolina’s 9th District congressional seat.   I said I was pleased that Mark Harris, a good conservative, was running for the post after beating a wilting Republican insider, Robert Pittenger, in the primary.

“Oh, I could never vote for Harris,” my liberal friend said.  “He’s a pastor, you know!”  She whispered the word as if he were a secret child molester.

Taken aback, I asked what that has to do with anything.  Why can’t a pastor be elected to a public office?  “Oh, I believe in separation of church and state.  It’s in the constitution, you know.”

“Where in the constitution does it say pastors can’t run for office?” I asked.

“Well, it doesn’t.  But he shouldn’t be elected, because we need separation of church and state, ” she answered.

I had to press on.  “The first amendment says the government can’t force any religion on citizens, but it doesn’t say there can’t be any sign of religion in public life.  What do you mean by ‘separation of church and state?'”

“Well, you know, we can’t have religious people who will have an influence on government,”  she said, her mental gears starting to clank.

“Why not?” I countered.

“Well, umm, you know, they will have influence.” Giving her credit, my leftist neighbor really did like to engage with me on our political differences, but she never seemed to put the brain in gear before letting out the clutch.  “You know he thinks women should be subservient to men!”  The “s” word was whispered again, like it should be a secret just between me and her.

I knew she was referring to the anti-Harris attack ad on television where that one sentence was pulled from one of Harris’ recent sermons.  “Were you in church the Sunday that Harris gave that sermon?”  I asked, knowing she wasn’t.  “Well, I was [different church] and I can tell you that pretty much every pastor in the USA was giving the same sermon on the same day.  It was a special nationwide effort to teach the Bible’s lesson about the relationship between men and women, and the role each plays in marriage.  It was a beautiful message, and very supportive of women.  He was doing his job, like every other pastor that Sunday.  You just reacted to a sound bite clipped out of context.”

“Oh, well I didn’t know that, nobody knows that,” she mumbled.  “But nobody should vote for him because of his Christian influence.”

I was just getting warmed up.  “So it’s only Christian pastors who can’t be elected to office?  What if a Muslim cleric ran for Congress?  Would that be okay?”

“Well, that’s different . . . ” she started, but was unsure how to defend her apparent bias against Christians. “Separation of . . . “

“Let’s try this,” I continued.  “What harm do you think a Christian pastor could do if elected to a public office?”

“Well . . . influence, er, policies . . . ” she stumbled, looking for a safe space.

“Isn’t that what every elected official does?  Influence policies?  Wouldn’t a teacher influence policies?  Or a farmer?  Or a business person? Don’t you want your representative to influence policies?  Why not a pastor?”

Silence.

I knew what was bouncing around in the back of her head – abortion! abortion! abortion!

“Are you worried about losing the right to kill babies?” I asked.

“Oh, I don’t believe in killing babies,” she wobbled.  “I just think women should have the right to choose.”

“Choose what?  Do you mean the right to choose to kill babies?”  I admit, I was starting to get growly.

“If you really believe in separation of church and state,” I said, “do you think it’s fair for the government to force a business owner to do something that is against his religious beliefs? Like bake a cake for a gay wedding?”

“Well, um.  I’m going to have to think about that.”

Mission accomplished, I headed off to coach my grandson’s little league game.  With another liberal friend, the assistant coach.

Sigh.  A conservative’s work is never done.

Rep. Ralph Norman Defends Gun Rights

I was with Congressman Ralph Norman Friday morning for his “coffee visit” town hall at the Rock Hill Diner.  When we went to the reserved area, a group of women in red t-shirts (Moms Demand Action) planted across from us, intent on dominating the event with their radical anti-gun agenda.  They claimed that they are not anti-2nd amendment, but as the discussion developed, their talking points turned toward hard-left “Resist” statements, i.e. anti-Trump, pro-abortion, anti-gun rights, etc.

Many of their arguments and claims were naive if not childish, often without any factual basis, even just plain false. I was seated next to Ralph and defending gun rights.  While we agreed on some points, we countered other claims and demands with reason and facts, and the activists grew more frustrated and aggressive. They demonstrated little knowledge about firearms, gun law, law enforcement, legislative process, etc. They even tried presenting a fake news item and we proved it was untrue.

At one point I told one of the activists, “I am a concealed carrier, and if a terrorist came in that door shooting the place up, I would defend you.  Doesn’t that give you comfort?” Incredibly, she said NO!  She doesn’t believe I should be allowed to own a gun, and said she would prefer to “talk it out” with the terrorist.  That’s when the congressman was asked by another attendee if he is also a concealed carrier.  Norman reached into his jacket, pulled out his .38, laid it safely on the table, and stated he is a carrier too, and he would defend himself and them.  He said he carries all the time except when he is in Washington, DC and he if anybody comes after him with a gun, he had better be a good shot, because he will be shooting back.  The gun wasn’t exposed more than a minute or two.

Nobody was intimidated.  Nobody was afraid.  Our photo, published in the Rock Hill Herald, shows everybody smiling. Congressman Norman was calm, affable, warm and gentle with these ladies.  We all agreed on some of their points.  But that wasn’t good enough for them. The congressman did upset one of the ladies by admonishing her for the proliferation of F bombs and other profanity all over her group’s web page.  He pointed out that children see Facebook pages too.  It is interesting to note that within hours of the incident the Congressman’s Facebook page was filled with vitriol and profanity, some of it from the very people who we met that morning.  It appears that these messages have since been “scrubbed”.

After their failed attempt to bully the Congressman, the “Moms” ran directly from the diner to the newspaper office, and their embellished story was printed as gospel by the press.  It hit the wires and was instantly viral in the national news media.

Congressman Norman made a statement on his Facebook page, but already the national “Resist” movement had been mobilized, filling his page with expletives, F bombs, and ugly hatred.  Norman asked me to help develop a response, and with some media-savvy friends from DC we worked out a plan which has been fairly well received. You have probably seen his second response .  We have been getting good support from conservative groups around the country.  We set up an interview on Fox and Friends for Monday morning.

This is a pivotal moment for defense of the 2nd Amendment and the NRA.  The “Moms” group is funded by and was sent on this mission by out-of-state money and is, as Norman said, hell-bent on eliminating private gun ownership.  We believe they were also accompanied by, if not directed by, one of Archie Parnell’s officials. They pretended to be concerned about child safety, but when I questioned them they defended the murder of 650,000 American babies per year by abortionists (latest available statistics), so it’s clear this is not about children for them.

The clip on the right is an example of the kind of people we face from the left (apologies for the language).  It takes no small measure of strength and purpose to run for office against today’s brand of Democrats.

Congressman Norman is absolutely on the right side of this battle, and the radical leftists will find that they picked the wrong target for an ambush.

Don’t Take Your Guns to Town – Johnny Cash

Whenever I get a request for a Johnny Cash tune at one of my weekend gigs, I know they are expecting “Folsum Prison Blues”, the standard Cash bar song.   But I sing this one instead, the story of a good young man who died defending himself and others against a bad guy.
